For months now, the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit has been planned for May 7th in Tallinn. Attendees have already been able to register to attend and details of what will be presented as been offered. Then the coronavirus hit. Officials of the hybrid conference have now announced that it will now be presented in a virtual edition and a live version taking place later on in the year. This will be due to social distancing practices in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus.

Going Virtual:

With the May 7th virtual edition, 300 professionals of the gambling industry will be able to attend the conference via internet browser. Delegates will be able to network while at virtual tables in an online deal room. Individuals will have the opportunity to conduct 1 on 1 meetings with clients, partners and/or prospects.

Head of Business at European Gaming Media and Events, Zoltán Tűndik, commented on the change by stating: “We are adapting to current times and catering for the quality learning and networking needs of the industry. We are lucky to have connections such as Erdal Kilinc (CEO and Co-Founder at Deal Room Events), who is helping us with this transition and teaching us the way virtual conferences work. We invite all interested companies to register and attend the first virtual conference in the gambling industry.”

The conference agenda has been updated to reflect the new virtual setting. The goal will now be to address the audience via discussions that revolve around the current climate, including how the coronavirus is affecting the gaming industry.
